Five Day Pescetarian Challenge

I'm challenging myself this week. After the Nor'easter knocked out my power for almost three days my fridge was in great need of restocking. I had to throw away almost everything in there and when I went to Trader Joes today I restocked with all the good stuff I could afford. Why might you ask when there are Christmas and Thanksgiving treats all over the place? Because I've been eating terribly for waaay too long. Last Christmas I was a healthy eating machine, but two trips back to England with countless ciders, indians and fish'n'chips has unfortunately left its mark. Not to dwell on the past I decided that this week would be a good detox week for me. Not some crazy pepper water detox, but a real food detox. Food I have to make that doesn't come a bag that tells me how to make it. Brian's in Portland this week so I figured this wee would be easiet for me to focus on a veggie, fruit and fish-filled diet. Brian's not much for fish so I stocked up since he's away. Hopefully this week will help me get back on track with my eating habits and maybe help the scale budge past my current weight which has barely changed since March :(. The hollidays are coming up, but I'm hoping I can keep it together enough to get back on track. School is super stressful but almost at an end. Hopefully working out can help me burn off some of that stress! This week I'll be checking in more often with my meals mostly to keep myself on track so I'll be less likely to stray! Until next time!

Wow

What a crazy few weeks it's been! After going out of town, school, and fighting with my landlord I am in much need of a break! Soon I'll be able to do that in my new apartment! I'm moving in less than 2 weeks and I'm sooo excited, mostly because I'll have a big new kitchen to cook in! No more single square of counter space and I have a DISHWASHER!!! Anywho, foodwise I've been kinda off these past few weeks. My workouts have been very sporadic too and I need to get back on track. Lately I've been on a pasta kick and I've made spaghetti the past two days. I've added fresh garlic, onions and peppers to the sauce and a little parmesean. So easy! Thtis is all I've got for now and who knows when I'll be able to update again since I'll be packing and working and doing homework!
